Diary kept by Alice Mary Stocks, aged 28, while sailing on the ship 'Melbourne' from Gravesend to Melbourne 7 June-18 August 1877. The diary finishes a few days before the ship reached Melbourne, where Alice married Edwin John Collis. The transcript was prepared by Alice's great granddaughter Margaret Williams.
